History
Kansas Hosting was started in 2002 with a cluster of servers right here in our offices. In 2005 we partnered with Webnet Broadband and started Wichita Data Centers on the 5th floor of the SCTelcom building in downtown Wichita (formerly KSB&T Building, now the Wichita Executive Center). We then moved our servers to the Data Center where they sit today.
Technology
At Kansas Hosting, we believe in having the simplest interface to accomplish complex hosting tasks. For this reason the very beginning we chose to use the H-Sphere Control Panel. H-Sphere is very versatile, we can manage an entire cluster of dozens of machines, VPS, accounts, resellers and billing from a single interface. Due to strong demand we have also added several C-Panel servers. Coming soon, we will be adding a VPS cloud hosting using Xen.
Facilities
Our partnership in Wichita Data Centers has enabled us keep our servers running non-stop, with top notch reliability provided by redundant cooling, bandwidth and power. The facility is not large but has all the amenities of much colocation operations on the coasts. Call to schedule a quick tour.
Mission
Our goal is to provide a local alternative for hosting of all IT functions to the Kansas markets. Many of our customers know our names and we know theirs. We are a part of the Wichita IT community and offer world class service and tools for web site developers and business in the community or worldwide.
